International Federation of Retired Venezuelan Military Personnel Abroad
Honor, Integrity, and Commitment to Historical Justice.
HONOR • LOYALTY • DIGNITY • SOLIDARITY • SERVICE
The purpose of FIMVEPEX is to achieve fair reparation for the pensions that were suspended for Venezuelan military personnel and widows in exile.
This organization was founded in 2014 out of the need to effectively bring together retired Venezuelan military personnel and widows whose pensions abroad had been suspended and/or who were victims of political persecution. These retired officers had no choice but to go into exile with their families in the United States of America and other countries.
However, for most of them, life in exile presented many challenges due to their advanced age, health conditions, and difficulties in finding jobs and surviving.
It can be concluded that the most degrading factor in the living conditions of military personnel and widows in exile is the arbitrary suspension of their pension payments abroad, in addition to the loss of their purchasing power due to hyperinflation.
To organize the diaspora of renowned retired Venezuelan military personnel and widows in order to legally claim fair financial compensation for the financial losses and emotional, psychological, and health damage caused by the suspension of the transfer of their pensions in foreign currency while in exile, as well as for the political persecution to which they were subjected.
To achieve justice for the damage inflicted on retired military officers and widows through monetary compensation for suspended pensions, which the Venezuelan State is obliged to provide, or another body responsible for safeguarding funds confiscated due to corruption in Venezuela.
In order to fulfill the responsibilities inherent in the Organization’s Mission, considering both its internal and external circumstances, as well as the long-term purpose derived from its Vision, the following objectives are established:
To seek, from the new authorities emerging through a transition toward freedom and democracy, or from any relevant international body, fair financial restitution for suspended pensions, compensating for the economic losses and the emotional, psychological, and health-related harm endured by members during their exile.
To make available to the future democratic authorities leading the transition process the reliable human capital of the membership, offering their experience, leadership, and professional expertise to assist in the reorganization of Venezuela’s conventional military institutions.
To positively raise awareness of the Federation’s cause before public opinion, strengthening its visibility and institutional legitimacy.
To continue applying and upholding the Code of Ethics for all new members, ensuring integrity, discipline, and adherence to the organization’s principles.
To manage and administer donations in order to provide social and humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable members, particularly the widows of CF (Ret.) Rafael Acosta Arévalo and Lt. (Ret.) Ronald Ojeda Moreno, both officers assassinated by the regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros.
Your contributions help support legal and organizational efforts and humanitarian aid for members most in need.
