Purpose

Exiled retired military personnel and widows face urgent realities: difficulty accessing dignified employment due to age, limited medical care, inadequate nutrition, and dependency on relatives who also face hardship.

FIMVEPEX was created to unify efforts that individually would be ineffective and to organize resources and actions through realistic strategic planning. The federation seeks to make the cause visible, pursue fair reparation, and strengthen the collective voice of its members.

Mission & Vision

Mission

To organize the diaspora of recognized retired Venezuelan military personnel and surviving widows in order to legally pursue financial reparations for pecuniary losses and emotional, psychological, and health-related damages caused by political persecution and the suspension of foreign-currency pension transfers to their places of residence in exile.

Vision

Once fair financial compensation is achieved, the federation will evaluate how it can support the most emblematic victims among its membership and determine the future direction of the organization.

Context & Strategic Diagnosis

• Weakness: Limited financial resources to sustain costly and lengthy legal processes.

• Threat: The Venezuelan dictatorial regime intimidates and threatens members and their families.

• Strength: Confiscated funds held in the United States from corrupt officials serve as a tangible source for reparations.

• Opportunity: Alignment between the U.S. administration and Congress to allocate these confiscated assets for Venezuelan reconstruction.

Objectives

1. Legally claim financial reparations for pecuniary, emotional, psychological, and health-related damages.

2. Obtain political support from U.S. Senators and Representatives to advance legal actions.

3. Increase visibility of the federation’s cause.

4. Prevent admission of individuals who could obstruct the legal process.

5. Evaluate how to support emblematic victims if compensation is secured.

6. Manage donations to provide social and humanitarian aid to members and special cases in Venezuela.

7. Periodically review objectives and strategies according to the federation’s needs.
